چکیده

A selfsimilar manifold is a Riemannian (M,g) endowed with homothetic vector field ξ. We characterize global manifolds and describe the structure of local manifolds. prove that any potential conical or Euclidean space. radiant Hessian (M,∇,g,ξ) such ∇ξ=λId, where λ constant. locally isomorphic to product

The Pontryagin Forms of Hessian Manifolds

We show that Hessian manifolds of dimensions 4 and above must have vanishing Pontryagin forms. This gives a topological obstruction to the existence of Hessian metrics. We find an additional explicit curvature identity for Hessian 4-manifolds. By contrast, we show that all analytic Riemannian 2-manifolds are Hessian.

Higher order Hessian structures on manifolds

In this paper we define nth order Hessian structures on manifolds and study them. In particular, when n = 3, we make a detailed study and establish a one-to-one correspondence between third-order Hessian structures and a certain class of connections on the second-order tangent bundle of a manifold. Further, we show that a connection on the tangent bundle of a manifold induces a connection on th...

Selfsimilar Fractals and Selfsimilar Random Fractals

We survey the application of contraction mapping argments to selfsimilar (nonrandom) fractal sets, measures and functions. We review the results for selfsimilar random fractal sets and measures and show how the method and extensions also work for selfsimilar random fractal functions.

Complex Hessian Equations on Some Compact Kähler Manifolds

On a compact connected 2m-dimensional Kähler manifold with Kähler form ω, given a smooth function f : M → R and an integer 1 < k < m, we want to solve uniquely in ω the equation ω̃ ∧ωm−k eω, relying on the notion of k-positivity for ω̃ ∈ ω the extreme cases are solved: k m by Yau in 1978 , and k 1 trivially . We solve by the continuity method the corresponding complex elliptic kthHessian equation...
